Danielle has been a hair stylist in the area for almost a decade. She prides herself on her attention to detail and passion for being a great listener and really getting to know her clients. Totsy spent the past twenty years working with a large national hair salon chain. She made a decision to join Willow’s Dream in August 2012 because she was drawn to our positive energy and relaxed environment. Totsy truly enjoys the stylist / client interaction and believes communication is the foundation to her success. Currently, Totsy is providing Matrix Socolor, Pravana, and Paul Mitchell color lines. Also, she offers permanent wave services, as well as the Chi Enviro smoothing treatment. Totsy’s passion is making sure your experience at Willow’s dream is one to remember.
Steve is a 20 plus year veteran in the hair industry. His early years in Cosmetology were spent in competing on both State and National levels. He won a National title in Men’s Hair Design and Salon of The Year, S. Carolina, in the Team event where he designed and styled the hair portion of the competition. He has continued to advance his skills by attending classes at the Redken Exchange, New York City and the Men’s Dept. in Minneapolis. Working with both men and women keeps him balanced in his work environment providing his clients with ability and professionalism with hair cutting and color. Steve has just moved here from Florence, S.Carolina and now calls Asheville home.
As a child Celene wanted to be a hairstylist and has been following her vocation since 1982; she still loves plying her trade all these years later. After graduating at the top of her class from Robert Lewis Studio of Hair Concepts in Silver Spring, Maryland, she has furthered her studies with Rusk cutting techniques, as well as attending many classes at trade/education shows in New York City, Washington DC and Atlanta. It’s her goal to give each client a cut that works well with their lifestyle, is beautifully flattering and grows out perfectly, a style that requires minimal fuss and makes getting ready a breeze. When she’s not cutting hair Celene goes for hikes, makes lovely hand-bound books, bakes bread, paints pictures, and reads prodigiously. (Currently not accepting Credit Cards)
As a young child, Deanna could be found in her room with a pair of scissors, trimming the hair off her dolls and stuffed animals. She’s pursued artistic endeavors throughout her career, trying everything from photography and painting to sculpture and culinary arts. After many years as a cook in the restaurant industry, Deanna has come full circle and fallen in love with the art of cutting and coloring hair. Every client will receive her full attention as she works with you to create an easy-to-manage style that suits your personality and lifestyle. An artist and perfectionist, Deanna strives for the best every day.
Tina has been a creating hair as art locally since 2008. Since then she has been a VERVE makeover stylist, and won the Mountain Xpress “Best Of” as a top stylist two years in a row! Tina is a certified Framesi Master colorist and uses her artistic background in all her haircuts, color and styles. She believes in creating a hairstyle just like any other art masterpiece. Great attention to detail with an overall knowledge and a solid aesthetic sense sets her apart from other stylists. Whether you want a wash and wear easy style, something classy, funky or just plain fun, Tina excels at cutting and creating many different styles. She likes working with unique types of hair, including curly to wavy, fine or thin to thick and unruly. Tina would love to consult with you on your vision, so that she can create hair as art for you.
Drew has created a lifetime of achievements as a stylist. A notable achievement includes his time managing the #1 hair salon in Salt Lake City for five years. Drew landed in Asheville due to an opportunity to work as Hair Stylist on the “Last of the Mohicans” movie set and has never left. We are extremely proud to have Drew part of our Willow’s Dream team.
Darryl is an 18-year veteran in the Salon business. He specializes in precision haircuts and color. To enhance his knowledge and maintain the latest techniques, Darryl spent time in New York City at the AVEDA and Bumble & Bumble Salons. Darryl’s managerial experience also includes managing a Modeling Agency’s salon division, which provided an even broader knowledge into the hair industry. Personally, Darryl calls Asheville home. He enjoys spending time in nature and with his animals.
Brenda has been in the hair industry for the past 28 years while specializing in low maintenance haircuts, natural color and highlights. She attends hair shows regularly in Los Angeles and New York to ensure her knowledge of the latest trends and techniques. Brenda is a good listener and looks forward to seeing you for a consultation soon.
Blue found her way into hairdressing when she was still a potter from University of Florida back in 2003. She was covered in clay teaching wheel throwing aboard cruise ships while making friends with the salon girls. Always loving sculpting in different medias she realized that this was the next chapter in her life. Graduating from an Aveda school in 2004 was the start of her passion for artistic and well-crafted color and cuts. For three years she lived in Ireland working and studying Vidal Sassoon Classic and Creative color and cuts under Kieran O’Gorman, a Master Stylist. Since returning back to the states, she has completed a Vidal Sassoon course, ventured to an IBS Hair Show, become certified in Organic Color Systems, and is always looking for inspiration in AshVegas.
Nola has been a stylist for twenty years and is dedicated to advanced education. She started her education in Union, New Jersey at the European Academy of Hair where she received both her Cosmetologist and Barber’s License. Nola apprenticed and completed Jingle’s International Academy. After completing her training Nola apprenticed with Alee of the Paul Mitchell Design Team. She went on to further her skills, completing the Rusk Academy. Nola Jackson has attended hair shows in New York City, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Winston-Salem and Charlotte.
Amanda is a “Jill of all trades”. After earning her B.S. in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising and Design, she decided to pursue her true passion, hairstyling. She is a graduate of the Paul Mitchell Academy and is known
for her haircuts and colors that can be styled many different ways. When she is not playing with hair, she can be found playing with a variety of fabric crafts. Come in and see her – you’ll love her wacky sense of humor and fun energy!
Jenn is originally from the D.C. metropolitan area and started her career in the salon industry at the age of 15 as a receptionist. Spending her early years giving her Barbie dolls experimental haircuts combined with her early experience in hair salons, Jenn made her way to Graham Webb International Academy of Cosmetology in Washington, D.C. and graduated in 2003. She moved to Asheville from New Orleans a year and a half after Hurricane Katrina, and has found a home here nestled in the mountains. She has expert knowledge of Wella and Goldwell color and can tackle any hair situation with complete competence and skill. Amanda has loved calling Asheville home for the last six years. She started her career as a hair stylist in 1992. Art of all kinds has always been a passion for Amanda and hair is just another medium to her artistic hands. Amanda has worked with many talented people from New Jersey, her home state, Seattle, Florida, and Maryland where she worked as an apprentice under a barber and honed her advanced barbering skills. Amanda works with Framesi color and will soon be offering the option of an organic color line to better suite some of her clients. Amanda has received training with Redken, Matrix, Framesi, IBS in NY and Las Vegas. Amanda is warm, open, and receptive to all her clients and loves working with the curly hair clients since she herself has a head full of curly hair! In her time away from Willow’s Dream Amanda enjoys hiking, gardening, cooking, spending time with her family, traveling, and learning French.
Valerie has been a stylist for over 20 years and has called Willow’s Dream home for five years. She has developed a loyal clientele that keep her busy and smiling. Valerie’s quick wit and passion for people make her a favorite with her clients. She is a great listener and is dedicated to making her clients look and feel their best. Jill has been a professional licensed hairstylist for over 16 years. She specializes in low-maintenance, wash & wear, hairstyles for men and women. Count among her talents a strong line of communication with her clients and a sharp eye for line and luxuriant, natural color. Jill has been using Wella hair color for many years and continues to educate herself on the most current styles and color techniques.
